The strongest one there is.
The Charizard-GX card from the new Pokemon: Burning Shadows set is one beast of a card. But that won’t be news to anyone who calls themselves a Trainer (or TCG addict) because just about every Charizard card, from Base Set up to today, has been bulky and powerful with attacks that can be downright mean.
Check out the new card below and click through the slideshow to learn the best ways to put it to use against your opponents.
That’s it for Charizard-GX, which you can find nestled inside booster packs of Burning Shadows, on sale now.
If you’re interested in getting into the game but don’t know where to start, there are also two new starter decks featuring Burning Shadows cards. These are ideal to get to know the basics, and the best part is that when you buy one at the store, you get a code card that unlocks a digital copy of the deck on Pokemon Trading Card Game Online (available on Microsoft Windows, OS X, iPad and Android). Both decks come with a couple cards that are great in many other decks, like Professor Kukui and Rescue Stretcher.
The “Luminous Frost” theme deck features the new Alolan Ninetales, and its Luminous Barrier Ability gives it invulnerability against attacks from EX and GX Pokemon, making it a wall that GX and EX decks can’t ignore.
The other is the “Rock Steady” theme deck featuring Lycanroc and a host of Psychic Type Pokemon.
